Thanks to Carrie I had beautiful Ginger Bliss fabric waiting to be made into something. I used it to cross needlecase off my to-do list. Now my bamboos are all snug as a bug. They need a few more brothers and sisters and then I'll be all set!

Now I can add this lovely needlecase to my collection of beautiful knitting storage solutions. Here are the other members of that group. The bamboo bowl was a wedding present and the bird knitting bag is handed down from my Grandma.

Another knitting accessory that I've ended up with is this cool standing knitting basket. I'd love to recover it in the stem green daisy willow. Then wouldn't it all be so pretty!! Of course no peeking in the craft room at the overflowing laundry baskets full of yarn, the plastic bag full of circular needles, the cardboard tube of metal needles. That's not for company.

I'm so in love with the color scheme of the floral GB fabric that I think I'm going to try to do Oscar's first birthday up in greens and blues and browns. That is if I can find a place to get cool plates, decorations, etc. And I'm going to try to make this Martha Stewart cake but maybe in green instead of blue...

I love your color scheme, so pretty and cozy. It will be lovely for the birthday party! I caved and bought $1 laundry baskets at Michael's to at least get fabric separated from knitting separated from half-finished projects separated from thrift store bargains separated from kid's toys... sigh. You get the picture.

I love the needlecase! What a perfect project for a couple of fat quarters. :) I really like blue, green & brown color combinations too... especially sky blues with deep chocolate browns and moss greens. Oscar is a lucky kid to have a birthday party with such a hip color scheme! :)

If you redo your stand-up knitting basket, please let us know how it goes! I'd like to redo mine one of these days. Even though I like the neat green woven fabric that's on it now, it smells really bad so I'd have to take it apart to wash it anyway.

I'm still very much in knitting mode right now, but I keep saying I am going to get out the sewing machine again soon. There's half a quilt in there waiting to get finished.
