daydreaming of being a robot myself

It feels like two weeks since I last posted, instead of the two days it's actually been. That posting everyday nonsense really gets into your head. So, things have not been going very smoothly around here lately, as some of you may have already noticed. We'd had the Christmasbot cards reprinted and up in the shop for about 10 minutes before Tim saw on screen what he thought he was seeing in real life but couldn't quite figure out, the inside had the ghost image of some other print job. Thanks overnightprints. So those were yanked. piffle. Then I had high ambitions for another PDF pattern that I posted about on Sunday and the day derailed so fast it was amazing. So that post got yanked and the flickr pic too. I never do that, but I couldn't even string together an explanation so... yank. It's been a lot of late nights and a lot of panicked last minute decisions around here but I feel like we're over the hump. The other thing sucking up time was a deadline that is now behind me (look for some cute hand sewing for fun fun in the spring issue of adorn magazine!) and many robot party decisions have been made and now hopefully the scales will tip back to manageable around here.
And just in case you think we're nothing but bah humbug grumpy over here...here's Tim up on the roof the day after Thanksgiving. I think the neighbors must be very excited the Griswolds moved into their neighborhood!

Wow, Oscar looks a lot like him. How cute is he, up there fixing to get all festive and whatnot?
Don't worry, things will ease up. And to cheer you, just remember, it's not even December yet! The Christmas season is just beginning. There's still PLENTY of time. That's my mantra, anyway.

On the bright side, the peppermint stitchettes are adorable!

When we signed on for this 30 days of posting thing, I don't think any of us remembered that thanksgiving was in November (at least I didn't). It should be in March when nothing is going on. Two days and it's over--then let the countdown begin!

You must be relatives of ours because my dad IS Clark Griswald!!! Your husband is the best!!! Mine wouldn't even get out a ladder to reach the top of the evergreen out front... he just threw it around!!!
Try to take a breath!!! It will all be okay :)

"pullin' a griswold" is a favorite phrase over here-
and so sorry about the suck-print-fest but maybe it's for the best. I swear some print jobs are cursed-so better to just move on and eat some robot birthday cake!
and I think the photo of tim is so awesome, I'd put it on a mug and give it to him as a gift. that's just me.

So sorry to hear about the cards! I would have bought those in a heart beat (honestly, I missed them last year and would have been happy as a clam to buy them WITH the ghost print! I loved that robot!)
Hopefully things will calm down a bit for you - and hey, if Christmas lights are going up, that's always a good thing! Way to go Tim!

Sorry the universe was chucking boulders your way. Hope you can find a happy thought to carry you through. A house all dressed up for the holidays should do it!

I hope things calm down for you!
Love the Griswald comment, I live with someone with the personality trait.
I can't wait to see the Adorn mag!

Oooh, I like Adorn -- now I'm set to like it even more. Congrats on finishing that up. Sorry to hear about the other stuff falling apart though.
