the snow is snowing

and the sun is shining so I took the opportunity to take some xmas decorations photos. decorating this year was tricky because it's our first year here so lots of decisions needed to made and it wasn't decorating on autopilot like christmas should be. like everything else in the house so far, the decorations kind of just stuck where they landed. next year I should have a better idea of where things would best go. maybe spread out a little better since the lion's share is all in the living/dining room.

our new glittery paper house village

filling in all the corners

a glittery scene accessorized by oscar with a tiny pick up truck

and here are some from the tree... a new vintage find

phoebe's first ornament, a glittery fairy I couldn't resist at macy's

our new jennifer murphy mouse. she's my favorite this year.

you can check out my flickr for the rest :)

hey, where did you get your paper village?!

Posted by: carol | Dec 17, 2007 12:26:18 PM

So cute! When my brother-in-law lived with us, he added a plastic dalmatian (from a kids meal 101 Dalmatians promotion) to our manger scene. Every year since then I've been told the puppy is missing from the scene. :)

I would also love to know where you got your paper village, it's just lovely. I've seen some vintage ones on ebay that are tempting and very much like the ones my mom used to have. Merry Christmas.

I love your tiny tableaus! I have a shaker basket like yours, but never though of putting a little scene in it! NOW I have to figure out in which box it's packed away (moved 5 rooms of stuff into a 3 room apartment). I have so many little "things" that I can use for a scene, and you've inspired me once again! Thanks!
