pucker up panda

This little panda appeared on Tim's desk the other day. This is about as valentine-y as it's going to get around here I think. Valentines Day has always kinda bugged me, so cheesy. But it's cute for kids. Although, the cute is wearing off a bit as we're working on the one gazillion valentines Oscar's got to bring to his various activities. He's hollering at them now. He's perfected this way of swearing at things but using non-swear words. We're so proud. "bad mamma gamma valentines glue!" That's our valentine.

pucker up!

This panda is perfect! I decided to go "fun" this year and ordered chocolate tatoos. And I could've made a panda.

Pandas??? Chocolate tattoos?? You people are brilliant! I almost gave in at the grocery store yesterday....but I resisted the pleas for the Disney Princess Valentines! Now I will be on the hunt for something cooler! Thank you for the inspiration! :)

Love the non-swear words. Very inventive. Knew a little girl one time who called her brother. "You little...PINKY TOE!"

Non-cursing curse words. There's a real art to that.

That panda is a cute widdle thing!

That is so fun! What a great idea?! I'm making fortune cookies and dipping them (half-way) in chocolate, then drizzling with raspberry white chocolate.

I like the polite cursing, although I actually had my mouth washed out with soap once for calling my brother stupid. I didn't even know that was an actual possibility--I always thought it was one of those empty momthreats. I never called my brother stupid again, I can promise you that.

When my daughter was three she got hopping mad at me for something and called me a penguin. Said (in this case screamed) with the right attitude, it sounds like an insult. To this day, people get called "penguin" at our house. That and "pigadoid", which is a word she used to describe one of her brothers.

My two and half year old's current cuss word is "Face!" Usually just yelled as such.

My brother used to call people 'noodle head' very vehemently. So funny. Ah, yes, Valentine's. I'm still working on that one. Yummy heart shaped cookies are always nice. But I need to figure out something to send with the boy to school as well.

My husband's cousin (when he was little) went absolutely ballistic when his brother called him a "pair of bell bottom trousers". It really does sound like a put down, doesn't it?

When my daughter Annabelle was three-ish and she got mad, she'd say "DAMAGE!" Clearly this was a lucky mishearing of damn it, and we've always been grateful.
