thank goodness for the new snow!

woohoo! another inch or so of white fluffy snow. thank god! if it was actually springlike around here these quilted pants that I've been wanting to make for over a month would be a moot point. when I woke up to yet another magical winter wonderland (cue the twinkling music) I decided to pull the trigger and sew up the darn things. luckily I'm sure we have another good month or so of frosty temps so she'll get some wear out of her new puffy pants. phew!

thanks for all the encouraging comments on kit, chloe and louise!! I've got their inaugural outfits all sketched out and will hopefully get to them this weekend. I'm a teensy bit afraid of doll clothes so I might have to do some more procrastinating sewing first.

She is darling. And the pants too! My kids think she's the cutest thing. (which says a lot coming from a 10 and a 11 year old!)

Those pants are delightful! I adore your daughter's hair too, it is so beautiful and looks quite thick too. Lucky girl that she is.

Don't be scared of dolls clothes - they are such fun to make (and no-one complains if they are scratchy or a bit too big or slightly wonky).
I have just finished a dozen reversible dresses and they are fun!!!!

That little one sure is growing up. The pants are adorable but no match for those chubby knuckles I spy.

oy, her hair!

i will admit to being completely captivated by the picture. while my girls were average with the hair while infants, they didn't have nearly that much!

beautiful!

She is a living doll!
I'm sure she'll provide some incredible inspiration for you.

Phoebe is so adorable...especially in her new pants! I absolutely love her hair. It reminds me of my daughter who was born with a full head of dark curly hair. She still has a head of curls and instead of brushing it in the morning, she dons one of her many woolen animal hats and heads off to school.
I should take your lead and get some of the sewing projects done on my list including new pj bottoms for my son. Even though our winter is nearly over, flannel pj's are always needed.

Is Phoebe just as lovely and happy as she looks in these photos? She is just an angel and I love the pants.
