« Some doll details, some identity crisis and a little give away! | Main | I've never been so unhappy to receive toys in the mail before »

everybody's a winner :)

Hi guys! The three winners for printed dolls (pulled out of a hat of all you sweet commenters) are...

Michelle (greeting arts)
Asha
Leigh

But because I was a kid raised with Sesame Street values, I know we are all winners so... conveniently a project that didn't come to pass was just returned to me in the mail and I thought it'd make a fun freebie. So look for the embroidery pattern for these two on the freebies page some time this week!

And geez.... thanks so much for all the amazing, thoughtful, generous feedback from you guys on that last post. I'm embarassed by all the unbelievably kind things that were said about my work. Thank you. And god do I love comments. love them! I'm going to have to do more giveaways! It's so great to hear from you guys. It helps diminish that whole someone walked in on me singing into a pretend microphone feeling that you can get from blogging.

I had a lot to say about this, that and whatnot but a busy family weekend sort of washed it all away. And now it's Oscar's Spring Break, and raining. Luckily Amy just sent us a copy of the Martha Stewart Cookies book -- I think she's trying to get me to learn how to bake for myself so I don't keep begging for baked goods even after the holidays are long over -- so we're going to tackle some double chocolate brownies today. Wish us luck!

and thanks again.. xoxo

I know I'll make the little rabbit and bear someday. They remind me of the embroidered figures on a quilt my grandmother made long ago. :O) So sweet!

I'm so excited about the free patterns. I'm reteaching myself to embroider now using one of your patterns, and I love it!

i missed the comments on the previous post but i have the same problem. so many ideas in my head and so little time with a 10 month old and a 3.75 year old. it is just so hard to accomplish much of anything in 15 minute increments in a half zombied perma-sleep-deprived state. i've registered my etsy shop...and that's about as far as i've gotten :)

yay for freebies!!

Congrats to the winners!
I have spring break next week...hooray! I wonder what weather I will have.

Those embroidery patterns look SO cute. I've been itching to do some embroidery and just scored an obscene amount of thread at the Goodwill. But since you already know I'm in the same boat as you with kidlets it's all about finding the time :-) I'll have to make the time for those!

Haha! You made me chuckle out loud with the "singing into an empty microphone" bit. Captured it perfectly. And thanks for the cute freebies! Adorable little guys...

I love these guys! The recent dolls are adorable. My kids have been begging for me to make them a doll but I just haven't gotten to it. I am dying for a pattern for those previous three! Can't wait!!

Thanks so much! I have been gathering supplies to practice embroidery but have been stumped for a good first project. This is a great place to start...thank you thank you. If it goes well, I'll brave the quilting bee ladies. It would look awesome in my daughter's room.
