rabbitshire
So before Mr. Flu came a knocking I'd come up with a Spring decorating scheme revolving around moss. I was thinking of a whole mossy village with bunnies and maybe a train. Sort of a Christmas thing but covered in fake moss instead of fake snow. I dragged the family to the Michaels and came home with a moss covered rabbit thing, styrofoam balls, bags of moss, plastic flowers sprigs, glittery eggs and some glittery bunnies on sticks. Oscar and I spent the day hobbling together this here rabbitshire. It's where the Easter bunnies live year round and hide their glittery eggs. The next day half of us were down flat with high fevers and hallucinations. I'm wondering if maybe we weren't already feeling the effects when we started down this mossy road...

To class it up a bit I found this fantastic moss nest a fancy shop downtown. I love it! May need to hit some post-holiday sales for more mossiness to put up next year.

oh, i love it!! i just bought a big bag of moss at michael's myself on friday.
feel better soon! (i sometimes wonder: if you watch "star wars" or "high school musical" enough times with your kids when you all have high fevers, will it be burned into your brain forever?)

I love it. I always want to use moss for something fun and amazing, but never would have come up with this.

Looks great! "rabbitshire" that cracked me up! You can't go wrong with moss and you can never have too much of it.

Happy Easter to you and your family!!! I was running around town, entertaining my mom while she was here visiting, with a fever and sore throat... and pretended to be well the whole time! So I do hope you guys are all feeling better! I finally do. I hardly got decorations up this year... so I'm quit impressed with all that you did!

I would have stared at Rabbitshire for hours as a little girl daydreaming that I could live there with the bunnies. I just might still do that.

Ooh, fun! I love the nest especially, but the little hobbit/bunny "shire" is brilliant. A kid's daydream as Wendy above me says. . .

Your description is so funny! No I don't think your mossy creation was a result of your flu-induced hallucination! I think it's so stylish and springy. I love it! I hope you're all better now. The flu stinks!

I LOVE it. What a cute idea. Mine would be picked at by all of the kids. Maybe we will give something like that a try next year.

Maybe it was something in the moss?

What cute Easter projects but I am so sorry that illness has struck your house. I hope everyone feels much better soon.

I think Rabbitshire could be one of my favorite mossy hills ever ...

I love your mossy village and bet you had a great time making it despite feeling a little crooked. I really hope you're all feeling better. A bug hitting the family is horrid!
