the misunderstood snail
I've been feeling a lot like my little friend here lately....pokey. Thing is, I'm whirling around busy busy busy but have very little output to show for it. Maybe the snail is similarly misunderstood. Maybe hidden inside his shell is a whirlwind of activity.
I'll tell you who has been an actual whirlwind of activity is Carol. Check out her new super cute etsy shop. Her table dots are so clever and have so many great details. I've snatched up mine so now I can share. Won't this be so cute to display Phoebe's 1st birthday cake this June!

I love your little stitchettes, but I'd love to see what you do with them all. Do you frame them as a set? Do you use them for decorative touches on other items? Just wondering...please consider a post on "things to do with awesomely cute stitchette projects.

I love the little snail, and I can so relate to it. Lately, I've been feeling the same way.

I can also relate to that little snail as I'm packing to move and also trying to craft.
Just peeked at Carol's table dots and am so tempted...

That table circle is adorable-a nice change from the typical table runner.

I just love the little snail. I'm sick right now and definitely feel a bit pulled into my shell but I know that once I get better I'll pop my head right out and go crazy. : )

I "had" to buy one of the table runners, thanks for the link. I think I better turn off my computer, I have no self control when it comes to looking at cute, handmade, original things for sale.

Your little snail is just so lovely. Snails (the real kind) are very popular around here with the children. No to so poplular with me. They live in our letterbox and eat my mail! Never the bills! Ha - Jen

I wanted to post a comment on your post about "identity crisis" but you closed it.
It's kinda weird how so many people seem to be in this state right now. I've been under it for 2 months. On a recent blog entry I called it "funk" and "creative pregnancy". "Id crisis" describes it really well too!
Same here, wondering at how to come up with something new, how to take my work up a couple of notches...
2008 is a year for change, I feel, and I thought these changes would just flow nicely, but this "thing" happened. Maybe it's part of the "change", I dunno.
My mind wonders with plans, ideas, possibilities, until some unrelated distraction comes up that demands my time, and I end up producing no-thing! I am really trying to push it away this week, but hey, it's Friday and I don't know where the week has gone. :(
