wee girl barrettes

Wee girls for the big girls. These barrettes are for some bigger girls on my list. Phoebe's temporarily off barrettes until she gets that they're not food.

I was temporarily off candy-looking pony tails when I was a child. Oi!

Posted by: Julia | Apr 25, 2008 5:53:32 PM

How did you print these on fabric? They are so incredibly cute!

Posted by: Laura | Apr 25, 2008 5:54:29 PM

They're adorable. My problem is every time I make these, the buttons fall off. Any clues on which glue to use? I'm frustrated. The shape of the clip and the back of the button just don't want to stay glued together. Wah. :(

Have you ever thought about having your art work digitized for embroidery? These would be awesome as applique for machine embroidery. You could use them on t-shirts or bags or anything else you could dream up. I think a lot of your art work would be good for this and you wouldn't have do hand embroidery. Awesome!

These are too much-I love them!!!!

Posted by: Carrie | Apr 25, 2008 6:29:57 PM

So. Darn. Cute. And they'd make great hairband elastics, too. Or pushpin covers. Or the covers for little knobs on jewelry boxes! I love those faces!

These are adorable! Is there any chance that these might end up in the freebies to download category?

Posted by: Erica | Apr 26, 2008 5:37:11 PM

I just found your blog. Very cute stuff!
I'm excited because I read that you have a boy named Oscar. Me too! He's just 10 weeks old.

Posted by: Jennifer | Apr 28, 2008 10:17:35 AM

hey thanks for all the nice comments! you guys are swell. I'm going to try to do that thing I always say I'm going to do.. answer questions in comments....

elliebelle, laura, barbara - yep regular printer. just like I did the printed dolls.

robin, I use e6000 glue. I use the end of the barrette to swipe a big glob of glue out of the tube and then stick the button on there, after I pull out the button tab of course.

amber - nope, my machine is old school so I don't know anything about digitized embroidery

sally - maybe! I need something for that etsy shop I was thinking about.

erica - probably not, I just put something up in the freebies.

angela - yep, covered buttons.

jennifer - woo! oscar's rock :)

Thanks for the answer- homegirl!
It is so generous of you to take the time. :)
Yup. I thought I was following your instructions to the tee. Guess I just need to glob (being the operative word) MORE glue! Craft e6000, right?
