new summer dress
Mandy's got herself a new summer frock. Jenny's still waiting around, in her dark brown tights, for hers. I'm going to make hers out of a pink Nani Iro print. Won't they look cute. First I need to go back to that garage sale I hit this morning and grab the cutie doll bed I passed on for them to hang out in. Why do I ever pass on things at a garage sale? I will without fail obsess for weeks when I pass something by. A lesson I can't seem to learn. I did grab some LPs for the boy though. Score!

I've been lurking about on Ebay, waiting for the right Mandy to bid on. My mom didn't save mine, and I just have to get one for my 18 month old daughter who won't care about it at all for at least 2 years (but I really want one) :)
I love making doll clothes. I know you have a flickr group for vintage doll clothes, but is there one for freshly sewn doll clothes?

very cute. Are you going to do patterns of the cutey dolls that you did in late winter> will they be for sale?

Score on the LP's and they look mint to. The doll quilt behind Mandy looks neat too. Perhaps does it have a cat? Way cute if it does.

Isn't that funny, how we somehow convince ourselves NOT to buy something and then spend the rest of the day trying to figure out how that happened!

Great records!! I still have mine from childhood... Mister Rogers is my idol! And I have a Jenny doll but she's got a soft body. I'll have to find her and take a photo!

I just gave my 4yo daughter Mandy back in January.
She still has her original dress and tights.
I really should make her more clothes.

Oh Mandy it's so good to see you! I miss you now almost enough to root you out of the bottom box in the storage room.

Simply adorable! Where is the pattern from? Is it your own? After reading your previous post about the "my friend dolls", I bought a jenny doll for my daughter on ebay & I love her! Your work is beautiful--thanks for sharing it will all of us!

What a sweet little dress! I love the vintage dress clothes by your mom too -- such amazing stuff! I'm so inspired, I'm thinking of making a doll with a full wardrobe for my daughter Kumi's birthday...

Oh my gosh!!! This picture brought me right back. My sister had three of these dolls, or related ones. She called them Baby Ann. She was inseperable from them. Such sweet dolls. She gave one to my daughter when she was born.

Holy Macaroni! Well,my name is Amanda, and until I went to college, everyone I knew called me Mandy. I must have been given at least 15 of these dolls as gifts. I am ashamed to say that I don't have any of them! I need to try and find one for my girls. What a trip down memory lane. I love her new summer dress. How cute!

Mandy and Jenny have lots of little adventures around our house, too! And they could certainly use some wardrobe enhancement -- perhaps this shall inspire me? :)
